Creative inspiration behind Sherry Furniture, Arthur Edwards is one of the world's most successful furniture designers with many years experience as a consultant not only to leading furniture manufacturers, but also to the United Nations as an expert in wood resource development.

He joined forces with Sherry shortly after our inception and has guided our successful design programme throughout the company's growth and development with a series of room collections exclusively designed for our customers' changing tastes and lifestyles.

Arthur Edwards believes passionately that "furniture must be not only visually attractive, but actually useful, comfortable to live with and good value for money."

Following design training at London Royal College of Art, Arthur Edwards worked for several large companies - becoming managing director of Europe's then-largest furniture production plant. This experience gave him an unusual insight into the practical side of making furniture and an in-depth understanding of furnishing contemporary homes. And his 10 years' work on UN development projects gave him unique exposure to exciting new furniture materials and craft skills worldwide.
